Brush folder

Brush folder
I am trying to locate the brush folder on my computer. I am unable to locate any type of folders for gimp. I download gimp straight from the website.

I am trying to make s water mark and use it as a brush that is the reasoning locating the brush folder.

To find your user brush folder, first open Gimp. Go to Edit > Preferences. On the left side, down near the bottom look for Folders and click on the small plus sign next to it. Under Folders, find Brushes and click on that. In the main window it will show the folders your system uses for its brushes. One of them should have a check mark in the box to the left of the entry. That is the folder you want to put your brushes into.
