Beautify OS Maverick
First up, I'm a beginner here Wink

I'm running Mac OS Maverick 10.9.1 and GIMP 2.8.10.
I have managed to download the ZIP file for the Beautify plugin but I'm stomped as to where to go from here. The Readme lost me quite quickly and everything I tried to google seems to be solutions for either Windows or Linux.

So, could anyone please explain to me how to get the plugin on my Mac?
Thank you!!

RE: Beautify OS Maverick
Stand more chance if it was called iBeautify and you rented it for $10 a month Smile

I had a look around, same as you, and nothing turned up for beautify +OSX, not to say there is not one somewhere.

You could ask the same question on the gimpchat.com forum, where there are a few Mac users. There was a big thread about it there one time, but all M$.

You have the source code. To compile it yourself will depend on having the libgimp-devel package (or whatever the OSX equivalent is). I did compile this for linux about a year ago, from memory there were no problems. Looking at my archives, it is a monster, 4 plugins total 130 MB. A bit on the slow side but some nice effects.

Compiling from source on a Mac, don't know, never tried it.
Some pointers here: http://howto.wired.com/wiki/Compile_Soft...ource_Code
