batch processing to obtain several different versions of a picture
Hi everybody !

I've been watching for a while to find a simple way to obtain and save several pictures from a single one, but without success at this time Confused

I have a picture of a gradient scale, let's say from 0 to 100.

From this picture, I would like to obtain 100 different pictures, with an arrow positioned at 1 for the first one, at 2 for the second one, and so on...

The time-consuming method would be to do this by hand :

- open the native picture
- modify it by adding an arrow at position 1
- save the picture under name "1.jpg"
- open the native picture
- modify it by adding an arrow at position 2
- save the picture with under "2.jpg"
...

and do it again for the 98 other levels

Do you know a simple way to do this automatically ?
Is there already an existing script able to do that or a script which is easily modifiable by a noob ?

Many thanks for any idea that could help !

Esteban

As usual Ninja'd as I was making a screenshot.

but IM is the way to go with a bash/bat file to step through the offsets

I would ask the question on the IM forum. Give them as much info as possible, OS etc.
They cater for both OSX(applicable to linux) and MS Windows.

Hi,

Just a feed-back to say your solution was exactly what I needed !
I made a mix with your explanations and some info found on the web, and this worked perfectly.

Thanks again !
