Basic card template
I am looking for a ccg template, I have no skills in gimp but was hopeing someone here could help.

I just need a blank card image like below where the whole card is just the background, and the spot for the name. After I get this template I plan to put images on the cards. but first I need a template. I need it red, black, green, white, and blue.

Can anyone help?

RE: Basic card template
Is this the sort of thing you are looking for

Made up of layers that you toggle on/off before exporting to png/jpg.

Looking at the pattern, I think it is a standard Gimp 'crack' pattern as a fill then scaled down. That was the closest I could easily get. There is a lot of repetition there but that will be covered when you add an image(s)
Then duplicated and coloured. This is where it is not so good. White in particular does not translate very well.

Then, same with the title bar, paper pattern with the colour 'tweaked' and a bevel added.
The backing is rgb noise desaturated and gaussian blurred a little.

All things you can do yourself.

If you want to play around with the template, this is the same size as the graphic in the image you posted ie. 373x522. It is a bit on the small side, such is life. Even so the xcf file runs to 2 MB, too large for this forum storage so if you want to, get it from
http://www.mediafire.com/download/s4puvu...wc.xcf.zip (1 MB) remember to unzip it.

Or maybe someone has thoughts / can have a go.

RE: Basic card template
Ok Smile Here is my go at it, With the power of resynthisizer I was able to retain the original background.

+ + + Attachment below "....xcf" + + + +
However to the aforementioned size limit am only able to attach a template with the title and a clean background.

*BUT!* Its not tough to duplicate the background layer and change the colors

First, duplicate the background layer: http://docs.gimp.org/nl/gimp-layer-duplicate.html

Then colorize
"Colors > Colorize..." For white or black, just adjust the "lightness" slider to the left or right.

For the other colors, adjust the "Hue" slider, if you need more vibrant color, turn up the "saturation" slider *sparingly though as it can bleed out the pattern.

My go at the template: [attachment=2591]

RE: Basic card template
Both look good, and a lot better then I could do... Going to give both a try and see how they look in gameplay.. Next its onto finding an artist that can draw or add images to the cards Big Grin

Thanks again
