Photo auto-cropping all layers and exporting or saving all layers as separate images?
I'm finding these two features would be absolutely essential for a project I'm working on and I'm going to be rather surprised there isn't an option for this somewhere, so please excuse my ignorance if this is on the wrong board.

What I'm looking for is just what the title of this post says:

Crop - Something that just auto-crops every layer in an image (separately, to the content of that layer, just to save a lot of clicking, I mean)

Paintbrush - Some way to save every layer of an image as a separate file, preferably as .png.

Now, the latter I've done some searching for and seen that someone did make a script for this at some point but everywhere I go I just find broken links. Does such a script exist, up to date with latest releases?

Thanks a ton for any help you could provide!

For the autocrop: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-too...s/scripts/

1) requires python support
2) actually autocrops linked layers, but changing for all layers is a SMOP

For the save: http://registry.gimp.org/node/18440
(also requires python support)

To tell if you have python support already:
- You have a "Filters/python-fu" menu entry
- You have a working "Filters/Render/Clouds/Fog..." menu entry

Hey, thanks a lot! I don't know why I didn't turn these up ealier...

Exporting layers seems to work fine.

What are the changes that would be required to just have a generic auto-crop out of the linked layers script, though?

Very little, so I just upgraded the sourceforge repository with autocrop-linked-layers-0.2.py (that's 0.2, old one was 0.1) which will also make a menu entry to autocrop all layers... Might take some time to percolate through the sourceforge shadows...
