Animated picture colour problem
Hello,
For school I have to make an background for a narrowcasting program (Xibo), and i started to make an animated background.
When i finished my animated background i saved it as an GIF, but then I got not the result I wanted because GIF only supports 256 colours.
How do I've to save my background without lose that colours?

You can't... if you want animation, then it's GIF, but then it's 256 colors. The best you can do is coerce Gimp into choosing the colors you specify, to have more choices of colors where it counts. You can also try to optimize your image so that it doesn't suffer too much from the color reduction (pre-dithering).

You can also look into more recent techniques where you get more colors (Flash, HTML5) but Gimp won't help much.
