Alpha Channel
I'm using 2.6. How do I add an Alpha Channel?

I can't find it in the selections.

Boy, do I feel like a newbie.........

RE: Alpha Channel
no worries Tom ^_^

in the layers window, right-click on the layer you want the alpha channel, click "add alpha channel"

or the longer way
Layer > Transparency > Add alpha channel
.

RE: Alpha Channel
Yes, I found that out by myself. I've been scouring my Gimp manuel ever since trying to found where "Right click" is mentioned. That's an important step that seems to be left out.

Learning the hard way, I guess.
