Adding text to graphic and saving
I realize what I am asking is basic and my apology for age and comprehension challenge.
This is probably only task I will need from Gimp but I do need it in step by step.
I am the leader of a program at church and there is a logo for it. I am endeavoring to
take that logo saved on my HD reduce its size ( I know How ) then add text to bottom and
save it as a signature in pictures to use with the group.
Thank you so much

- start Text tool
- choose color/font
- click on image approximately where you want text
- Type in text
- Move text rectangle around to position text
- save image

It would likely be best to enter the text in a full size logo... keep a copy of the image in that size, and scale down for use.
Thanks so very much. I will now give it a shot
