Adding Fonts
I need help with adding fonts to gimp that I have downloaded from dafont,com I am running on windows 7 and have gimp 2.6 right now, thanks for any help!

Install them as system fonts (fro all apps) or copy them (the TTF files) to the "fonts" directory in your profile, or move them to any directory you want and use "Edit/Preferences->Folders/Fonts" to tell Gimp about it.

Hmm I'm still having trouble adding fonts myself..
Do I need to dowload them to my laptop and save it in a file? I'm so confused :/

Yes, you have to download them, and maybe also extract them from the .ZIP/.RAR (you should end up with a ".TTF" file in most cases. Then the choice is yours:
1) install them as systems fonts available to all applications. his depend son your system. Clicking the font may start a font installer. 2) install the fonts for Gimp only (useful for the more decorative fonts): move the TTF file to the "fonts" folder in your Gimp profile ![]() |
