Add settled snow to an image?
Hello everyone.

I play about with Gimp quite a lot, sometime things work out very well and others not, but I keep going!

What I'd like to do next is 'Christmacise' my website banner; it's basically a guy with a cape and some text - how would I go about adding snow to it?

The effect I'd like to achieve is settled snow on the lettering, and maybe the guy, too.

Can anybody point me to a tutorial, or get me going in the right direction?

Thank you, guys!
Nick.

Well, actually it's quite easy.

Maybe somebody else is trying to achieve this effect so the tutorial I used is here - this tells you how to make realistic snow flakes and you can just use a white brush to add settled snow on your text. I needed to play around with the size of the brush to get the snowflakes right, so maybe you'll need to do that too. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward.

I'm happy to answer any questions if you need me to, but i don't think you'll need it as the tutorial tells you pretty much everything.

I hope this helps somebody else out.

Anyone can create custom effect in their photo frame, and can edit images with transparent color. We can make images which look like in realistic image.
