Good morning/afternoon/evening all.
I am Cheffzilla (I am a retired cook of huge quantities at a time), doing freelance work, and occasionally in desperate need of wise advice. My specialty is graphic design, not photo editing, so I can use all the help and advice I can get.
I would appreciate the following knowledge...even though I ought to know the answer to it, I am a noob to Gimp, ergo this may sound like a stupid question, but it's not. Here it is...
I have been asked to submit a graphic image for production into an etched beer mug. The original image I received was in .jpg format, and the vendor/producer of said mug wants a vector image in .eps format. I have converted the .jpg into a vector-based .svg file. If I import it into Gimp for conversion to .eps, will the resulting .eps still be vector-based, or will the output be a raster file?
Thanks in advance for the help. If this sounds elememtary, I apologize, but I'm still learning.
